The 1st CCSSEE was successfully hosted at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, from August 20-24, 2017. Over 180 participants from 26 Chinese and Canadian universities participated in this symposium, which provides an unique international and multidisciplinary platform of communication and discussion.
