To validate the new high-rise system, a 1/6.5 scale of the prototype building testing specimen has been developed. Due to the large amount of mass needed for this test, two tables (70 tonne capacity each) are required. A rigid foundation is designed to tie the two tables together. The building masses will be constructed using reinforced concrete. For efficiency masses and coupling beams are attached at 8 locations up the height of the wall. The base of the wall is designed to rock under strong earthquake shaking.
